Annotation:
The changing economic environment increases the necessity of improving the reliability and relevance of the efficiency evaluation of hydrocarbon fields’ development. One of the techniques of economic evaluation of the proposed technological solutions is the discounted cash flow method. The article discusses the existing approaches to determining the level of the discount rate in domestic and foreign practice and outlines the main provisions that should be taken into account when choosing the discount rate as well as proposes a method for determining the level of the discount rate, which takes into account the economic and technological risks that arise in the process of hydrocarbon fields development.
