The state energy policy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Annotation:

The article is devoted to the modern state energy policy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV). The author of the article examines in detail the fuel and energy complex of the Republic, shows the key indicators of the energy industry development in Vietnam. The article analyzes the energy balance of SRV. The production and consumption of electricity, hydrocarbons, coal in Vietnam in 2020 is analyzed, as a result of which it is concluded that the energy balance of Vietnam remains insufficiently diversified between various fuel and energy resources, and coal mining and coal generation remain the basis of the fuel and energy complex, which negatively affects the economy of the country. The author of the article notes that a special role in the development of the energy sector of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is assigned to the development of cooperation with the Russian Federation, as one of the leaders in the world energy market, including construction of nuclear power plants. It is noted that the development of nuclear technologies will make it possible to fully achieve the goals set by the leadership of the Republic to ensure the sustainable development of the country's economy and the innovative development of the energy sector in SRV.
