Annotation:

The article will consider diversified gas products that currently occupy a small market share, but in future they can significantly expand it and stimulate the formation of not only the global natural gas market, but also secure for natural gas the role of the main world energy source in the frames of energy transition. The discussion will touch upon such non-traditional products as: coal-bed methane (CBM), shale gas, gas hydrates, biogas/biomethane, synthetic methane, hydrogen/hythane, ammonia, liquefied natural gas, gas-liquid conversion as well as new areas of gas usage: liquefied natural gas as a fuel for transport, gas as energy storage, peak load coverage and remote power supply.
