Some peculiarities of the formation of oil tank farms and fuel storages activities in Russia

Annotation:

The article analyzes the peculiarities of oil tank farms and fuel storages formation in the country, taking into account the classifications of objects, company’s standards and fuel storages location. The main factors influencing the efficiency assessment of the activities and prospects for oil tank farms development in Russia are given. Depending on the method of organization, an oil tank farm can be an independent (self-sustaining) object for storing petroleum products or a structural subdivision of an oil and gas company. The oil tank farms and fuel storages depots activities are conditionally divided into main and auxiliary ones, on the basis of which operating costs are formed. The composition and volume of the main and auxiliary operations depends on the turnover and production tasks of oil tank farms and is not the same for all oil tank farms. The tank farms location in the regions (territories) of the country and the volume of their tank farm ensure the demand for petroleum products for civil and defense needs, taking into account cargo turnover. The location of oil tank farms and fuel storages directly affects its activities and costs, including commercial (logistics) ones. The peculiarities of the formation of oil tank farms and fuel storages activities affect the cost management system of oil tank farms, its commodity transport flows, competitiveness and economic efficiency of activities.
