Annotation:

Non-stop power supply of petroleum industry facilities is one of the main tasks for ensuring their reliable and efficient operation. If the technical possibility of their connection to centralized electric networks lacks, then the only solution left is the installation of power plants for own needs. One of the options of such power plants is a fuel and energy complex, consisting of a gas piston unit and a diesel power plant. The operation of the complex may be possibly based on the use of associated petroleum gas and diesel fuel in various percentage ratios. It should be taken into consideration that for the power supply of the equipment operating under variable or pulsating loads, the use of a gas piston unit is impossible. In this case, the power supply of the facilities should be fully provided by a diesel power plant. The results of technical-economic indicators calculated for the fuel and energy complex, consisting of the Mitsubishi gas piston unit and the Scania diesel power plant, prove the fact that the electricity generation cost significantly depends on the percentage of gaseous and liquid fuel used to operate the complex.
