ESG transformation of the Russian economy as a factor of "low-carbon" energy accelerated development

Annotation:

In the modern world, in conditions of limited natural resources and with account of the world's population growth and its needs, the problems of sustainable development are becoming more and more urgent. Currently, the global fuel and energy complex is in the stage of energy transition which brings global changes in the energy supply system and in the global economy as well. The article presents the results of the analysis of "low-carbon" and "high-carbon" energy share in Russia and shows the projected dynamics of their changes until 2050 on the basis of averaged modeling results for various energy development scenarios. The competitive advantages of Russia in the conditions of energy transition are formulated. It is shown that the advanced development of environmentally friendly energy will become a solid foundation for the ESG transformation of the country's economy.
