To the problem of the territorial coefficient of fuel cost growth assessment for autonomous power generation systems based on a diesel power plant

Annotation:

The power supply of facilities located in isolated remote territories is mainly organized by using diesel power plants. The features of energy supply of facilities located in isolated remote territories are the remoteness of the territories from large energy systems, the inaccessibility of consumers and the seasonality of fuel transportation. All these factors cause an increase of generating electricity cost in these territories. Therefore, when determining the of electricity generation cost at a diesel power plant, it is necessary to introduce correction coefficients that take into account the change the fuel cost depending on the location of the energy supply facility. Based on the obtained statistical data on the average actual costs of electricity production of a diesel power plant, the authors of the article obtained a formula of dependence of the value of the territorial coefficient of the diesel fuel cost growth on the actual population density in the considered territory, which allows modeling the cost of electricity production in a remote territory. At the same time, the simulation results show that the error between the cost of diesel fuel for generating electricity at a diesel power plant, obtained according to the calculated data and to averaged actual data, is no more than 6 %.
