Risks of the companies supply which operate in the oil and gas industry

Annotation:

The author of the article discusses the factors of uncertainty in supply, types of risk events and approaches to risks management in companies in the oil and gas industry. Some methods of risk analysis and the volume of demand for insurance stocks are criticized and an expansion of the types of risks that need to be analyzed when supplying companies of the oil and gas industry is proposed. The author of the article considers the consequences of an insurance reserve formation for a limited set of one-two types of risks used in the companies of the oil and gas industry, associated with the lack of analysis of different types of risks. A list of some types of risks is provided, the analysis of which is not carried out in companies of the oil and gas industry. When supplying oil and gas companies, the author of the article proposes using one of the methods of causation – the Ishikawa diagram – in risk management to identify the sources of risk events and develop measures and actions to reduce the likelihood and consequences of risk events. An example of use is given – in the form of a fragment of a diagram.
