Annotation:
The authors of the article discuss the prerequisites for the formation of a platform for hydrocarbons trading within the framework of cooperation between the BRICS member countries as well as the necessary conditions and requirements for the creation of such a platform. In conditions of changing conjuncture of world commodity markets, increasing volatility and uncertainty, Russia should initiate the creation of the Unified Energy Exchange as a source of formation of price benchmarks.
