Optimization of material resources demand in the controlling system when producing oil and gas equipment (using the example of paint and varnish materials)

Annotation:

One of the permanent tasks of an industrial enterprise is to increase labor productivity in conditions of limited resources. In management activities in modern conditions of business processes digitalization, it is possible to increase labor productivity in the field of routine operations for calculating the consumption of a particular material resource through the use of available office software products. Currently, the domestic Russian market of familiar foreign software products is being actively replaced by domestic analogues with the same set of functions. This task is particularly relevant for small- and medium-sized enterprises that have no financial capacity to purchase a fully functional corporate information system. The authors of the article describe the Application "Paints and varnishes materials (PVM) consumption planning", developed and successfully implemented by the authors in management activities at the enterprise for the production of oil and gas equipment – "RNG–Engineering" LLC. The Application is designed for planning the consumption of paints and varnishes for processing and coating manufactured equipment and components. The development and use of the application is aimed at reducing the number of errors in calculating the need for paints and varnishes in the production activities of the enterprise. The authors reveal the formulas embedded in the calculation block of the software product, describe the components of the Application, the sequence of working with the program from the perspective of a user – a specialist of the Production Department as well as describe the interface and functionality of the application. The authors of the article reveal the constituent factors for assessing the potential effect of using the Application in the controlling system at the enterprise. It is concluded that such an Application is in demand at all industrial enterprises producing oil and gas equipment and the possibility of adapting a similar Application for planning consumption of other types of normalized resources as well as for planning the consumption of paints and varnishes at enterprises of other industries. The development is sufficiently described and, if desired, can be implemented by an employee of the economic department of an industrial enterprise.
