Annotation:

The author of the article considers the problem of international strategic alliances and reveals the theoretical content of this concept. It is substantiated that these alliances are tools for promoting the interests of national states in the new geo-economic era. The essence of the era lies in the desire of established alliances to control the flows of value in the development of world trade, on which the modern world is based. Since in the new coordinate system, control of flows has a decisive influence on production efficiency, it leads to the strengthening of the controlling subject. The subjects of international relations in the current structure less world are concentrated around the north and south poles. Since this process is long and the role of the non-aligned majority is significant, open confrontation between the poles of power does not occur. Their rivalry is of geo-economic nature.
