Annotation:
The authors of the article analyze manufacturing enterprises work in the region. The industry is analyzed from the perspective of its formation and the current stages of the industrial policy implementation are considered, the regional and scientific aspects of ensuring sustainable development of the region is studied as a process of changes in which the natural resources exploitation, the direction of investments, the orientation of scientific-technological development, personal development and institutional changes are coordinated with each other and strengthen current and future potential to meet human needs and aspirations. The authors of the article examine the trends in the functioning of enterprises and organizations of the manufacturing industry in the Chechen Republic in the period from 2013 to 2022. The sustainable development of manufacturing enterprises in the Republic was relevant in all periods of time and this branch of industry is relevant up to now, since the manufacturing industry remains the basis of economic independence of any country and determines the level of its competitiveness in the world. As a result of the analysis, the authors of the article concluded that the results of the development of key enterprises in the manufacturing industry of the Chechen Republic for the period of 2013–2022 demonstrate two opposite trends in the development of enterprises, determined mainly by the form of ownership: state-owned enterprises demonstrate low efficiency of economic activity, private business – financial stability, profitable development. According to the authors’ opinion, in order to achieve sustainable development of the region, it is necessary to continue the course towards privatization of the state unitary enterprises and improvement of the investment climate in the Chechen Republic.
