Annotation:

In the context of foreign economic sanctions, accompanied by limited access to Western technologies, equipment, and financial resources, Russian oil and gas corporations are faced with the task of strategical rethinking their development approaches. One of the most significant and priority directions in this regard is innovative development, which allows not only to adapt to new realities, but also to form a stable platform of technological sovereignty. Innovation activity in the modern energy sector is becoming crucial in the implementation of import substitution policy. It provides both the creation of domestic analogues of imported products and technologies adapted to the specifics of the national market, and the formation of prerequisites for the development of new technological solutions that can not only replace, but also surpass the effectiveness of foreign analogues. At the same time, today Russian energy companies demonstrate a comparatively lower level of efficiency and effectiveness of the business process of innovations implementation in relation to world leaders. A significant part of innovative projects does not reach the stage of industrial implementation, which inevitably leads to a loss of investment. The authors of the article present the results of a study of international and Russian practices of innovative solutions implementation in the energy sector, including sources of innovation, organizational structures, mechanisms and instruments of implementation; a comparative analysis is carried out and the possibilities of potential adaptation of the best foreign practices in Russia are assessed.
