Annotation:

The authors of the article consider the historical period, milestones of formation and development of the modern oil and gas and fuel and energy complex in Russia in the 20th–21st centuries; stages of the engineering-economic school development, taking into account scientific and educational aspects; industry specific features and prospects for the development of the modern fuel and energy complex, the impact of changes in economics and management on the educational trajectories of specialists. The significance of the totality of engineering and economic knowledge is shown, allowing competitive specialists training to satisfy the needs of enterprises in the oil and gas sector and the economy in the whole.
