Annotation:
The authors of the article analyze the gas processing industry of Russia, identify stable trends and outline prospects for its development. The authors systematize the structural, organizational and regional specific features of the industry development, which are associated with the formation of centers of hydrocarbon raw materials production and consumption, fractional composition of gas and locations of production facilities. The main indicators of the gas processing industry for the period of 2015–2022 are analyzed. It is shown that more than 54 % of them requires processing to extract valuable components. It was revealed that there is a shortage of production capacities for gas processing, since the volume of processed natural gas (excluding APG) amounted to 36,9 billion m3, and only 6,9 billion m3 of ethane-containing gas was processed. The structure of gas processing companies is analyzed, among which PJSC "Gazprom" prevails in terms of the volume of available capacities, which opens up opportunities for processing gas of independent subsoil users. The authors separately examined the promising region of the Eastern Siberia and the Far East in terms of gas processing, where there is a shortage of capacity for processing "fat" gas, and outlined the prospects for its development.
