Annotation:
The increasing necessity of extracting heavy, highly viscous oil from complex reservoirs requires oil recovery increase, especially from the fields being at the final stage of development. Currently, there exist a significant number of effective methods for enhancing oil recovery (EOR), adapted to different technological conditions, the effectiveness of which depends on the complexity of the methods, techniques and conditions of hydrocarbon production. In this regard, the presented study is aimed at scaling the effect of using modern methods of enhanced oil recovery by grouping wells according to similar technological parameters. To achieve the purpose, the authors of the article describe the method of clustering wells, which is based on a set of indicators which determine the choice of technology for increasing oil recovery at the fields being at the final stage of operation. The technological effectiveness of using sidetracking and multistage hydraulic fracturing was additionally assessed using the analytical method for assessing wells flow-rates. The obtained results can be used by specialists to justify the feasibility study of applying the presented methods in oil fields using instrumental approaches.
