The most developed and widely applied in Russia geophysical methods of nuclear magnetic resonance are considered including: nuclear magnetic logging by method of free nuclear precession in the Earth's magnetic field, nuclear magnetic tomographic logging in a strong magnetic field, and NMR analysis in high magnetic field of sample cores, cuttings and fluids. It is shown that nuclear magnetic tomographic logging provides ample opportunity to assess the reservoir properties of rocks, but the interpretation of the results requires serious petrophysical settings. The problem of improving the hardware and metrology provision of the techniques used is considered.
