Annotation:

Shong Hong and Fukhan basins are identified on the shelf of the Northern and Central Vietnam. The foundation here has a two-stage structure. The rocks of the upper tier (Devon - Triassic) are regionally oil and gas potent. The composition, geologic history and structure of these rocks suggest the participation of the upper tier of the foundation in oil and gas generation and creation of massive structural traps.
