Annotation:
The possibility of using by-products of dewaxing: wax concentrates and petrolatums of different composition in the production of wax emulsions is shown. The basic principles for the preparation of stable wax emulsions are considered, the role of stabilizing agents and conditions of technological regimes are identified. The structure of wax emulsions as oil disperse systems consisting of complex structural units is studied. The possibility to improve the hydrophobic properties of concrete by introducing wax emulsions is demonstrated.
