Annotation:

Operation of concrete composite structures and hydraulic structures in the arctic conditions has specific features. The type of frost resistant concrete is of particular significance in the harsh climatic conditions. Durability of concrete in the arctic conditions depends on the annual number of cycles of freezing and thawing. This paper proposes a new approach to the choice of the properties of concrete structures designed for operating in harsh environments. This is based on statistical processing of the temperature variations and can greatly simplify the procedure for determining the safety factors for strength and deformability.
