Annotation:
The faulty cast impellers of main line pumps, selected in the course of visual inspection, underwent non-destructive testing for defect detection, as well as chemical analysis and metallic mechanical tests for compliance with the existing regulations. Specialists established deviations of physical, metallurgical and technological properties from normal values, these appeared in the course of manufacturing, and which led to the appearance of metal defects in researched impellers.
