Express assessment of maximum steam-oil ratio during steam flooding of heavy oil field

Annotation:

The development of heavy oil fields due to the low mobility of oil in the reservoir, low productivity of wells, the difficulty of lifting to the surface and transporting oil causes the use of expensive technological solutions for a wide range of geological and physical characteristics of formations associated with the use of thermal methods to increase oil recovery. One of the most widely used indicators of the technological efficiency of steam flooding is the steam-oil ratio. The article proposes an express methodology for assessing the maximum steam-oil ratio, the use of which allows, based on a minimum set of initial data, to assess the profitable period of field development using steam flooding, which is extremely relevant, including when solving the problem of switching to a less energy-intensive method of exposure after prolonged steam injection, such as waterflooding.
