Orenburg radial-concentric structure as center of hydrocarbons accumulation

Annotation:

The Orenburg radial-concentric structure (ORCS) was identified in 2021 using the author's method based on seismotectonic data. The purpose of the presented work was to study its deep structure and identify the main ways of HC migration that led to the formation of oil and gas accumulations in the sedimentary cover. For this purpose, an updated interpretation of temporary regional seismic profiles was carried out, as well as a comprehensive analysis of the results of seismic exploration, remote work and monitoring data of current geotectonic processes. As a result of the study, the hierarchical structure of tectonic disturbances of the ORCS was discovered. Deep faults of the 1st rank are traced from the basement rocks into the sedimentary cover, including over-salt rocks. The feathering disturbances of the 2nd rank confined to them mainly break through the layers of the sedimentary cover. The ORCS is a large "flower" structure. The oil and gas fields associated with it are located in the development zones of smaller "flowers". It was concluded that the hierarchical structure of the ORCS faults can provide a transport system for the formation of hydrocarbon deposits, their redistribution and, possibly, recharge. The main possible ways of HC migration was identified within the ORCS.
