Annotation:

The relevance and importance of ensuring geodynamic safety of hazardous production facilities, among which are main gas pipelines, is reflected in a number of state and industry regulatory documents. One of the most difficult problems in this case is the prediction of dangerous geological processes, the activation of which can lead to emergency situations with material losses, harm the environment and human health, and even to human casualties. The radio wave method proposed for solving this problem by the Soviet and Russian scientist M.M. Zaderigolova, in contrast to the traditional methods of geodynamic monitoring used, allows to inform in advance about possible man-made disasters associated with the course of dangerous engineering and geological processes. The method has been successfully applied on the main gas pipelines of PJSC “Gazprom” and the results of fruitful cooperation between the companies headed by M.M. Zaderigolova and Gubkin University on the development of the method are reflected in dozens of publications, and awarded with the “Gazprom” Prize in the field of science and technology.
