Annotation:

This article is devoted to the problems associated with the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. At present, when the development of the Arctic zone is in full swing, there is a great need for fuel with increased performance properties and high quality. The above material contains references to updated regulatory documents that determine the list and range of diesel fuels approved for use in weapons, military and special equipment. For a long time, the main emphasis in the production of fuels was placed on the reliability of operation of diesel engines and power plants, with no account for the impact of fuel combustion products on the environment. Considerable attention in the presented materials is paid to the processes of desulfurization and dewaxing of diesel fuels. The use of depressant and depressant-dispersing additives to improve the low-temperature properties of diesel fuel is also considered.
