Annotation:
The paper considers the results of pyrolytic studies of 53 soil samples taken from the territory of Kogalym (Russian Federation, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug) and 10 soil samples taken from the background area. The studies were carried out using a pyrolyzer. The distribution of the following parameters was studied: the total content of organic carbon in the soil (TOC), hydrogen index (HI), oxygen index (OI), oil saturation index (OSI). It was established that the values of TOC, HI and OSI in urban soils increase noticeably compared to those in background areas. As a result of the study, the authors proposed to use pyrolytic parameters of soils to assess the state of soil organic matter. Also, it can be used in the geoecological studies of urban soils and in the assessment of anthropogenic soil transformation.
