Annotation:

This article discusses the features of diesel engine operation at low temperatures. The main ways to prevent clogging of fuel filters are described. The features of the fuel system operation at low temperatures are considered and the existing methods of ensuring its operability are given. With the help of studies of the operation of fuel supply equipment for diesel engines, it was shown that the suction line of the fuel priming pump is the most critical section of this system. The most effective and cost-effective way of continuous and trouble-free operation of the engine in winter can be considered the thermal destruction of n-alkane crystals, which is carried out with the help of separate devices in the initial section of the engine power supply system. A method for calculating the elements of fuel equipment at low temperatures is proposed. Theoretical calculations have shown that the minimum temperature at which normal fuel supply is provided along the low-pressure line can be determined with a high degree of accuracy by solving a system of differential equations in the first approximation
