Annotation:

The paper analyzes the ecological properties of gasoline and diesel fuels, the requirements of the European Euro Standard for the composition of fuels and their combustion products in engines. Fuels from Russian refineries reached the Euro-5 level as a result of the introduction of new efficient technologies and the use of special additives. A number of refineries are ready to produce fuels that meet the requirements of Euro-6 in terms of composition and ecological properties. The composition of emissions of fuel combustion products from modern diesel engines does not yet meet the limit standards established in the Euro-6 standard. The main methods of analysis of the composition and stages of testing and quality control of fuels with improved ecological properties are presented.
