Annotation:

It is proved that the negative impact of pipeline transport on the surrounding natural environment is quite large and diverse. Accidents that take place at the trunk pipelines can greatly affect not only economic situation (loss of the pumped product, the need for emergency recovery operations, violation of operating modes), but also entail environmental risks associated with environmental pollution. Analysis of the existing practices to ensure the safety of pipeline transportation facilities shows that the current system has a major drawback because it does not account for processes occurring in case of pipelines facilities interaction with the lithosphere. The paper considers the factors of seismic hazard that affect the mechanical integrity of the main pipelines. The analysis of the measures aimed at reducing the negative impact on the facilities of the main pipeline transport of seismic impact in the zones of active tectonic faults (APR) is carried out. Recommendations for reducing the seismic impact on the facilities of the main pipeline transport are proposed.
