Annotation:

Currently, the probability of an occupational disease ocurrence among employees of the oil and gas complex (OGC) cannot be completely excluded, despite the development and improvement of measures to improve working conditions and reduce the risk of harm to health. The paper shows that among the harmful production factors noise is one of the leading ones for many types of economic activity. It is noted that the "sensorineural hearing loss" diagnosis is associated with an excessive level of industrial noise takes the first place in the structure of occupational diseases of workers in the Russian Federation, including the oil and gas complex. It is concluded that since occupational diseases are one of the components of the high level of disability and mortality of the working-age population, the deterioration in the quality of labor resources has a direct impact on the quality of life of citizens and the economic development of the country. The urgency of further studying the impact of such harmful production factor as noise on oil and gas complex workers and the development of proposals for reducing the level of its impact is stressed.
