The active development of the previously untouched landscapes of the Far North by oil and gas enterprises requires the necessity of controlling over the state of the environment in these territories. To identify the man-made emissions specificity when extracting hydrocarbons in the territory of the Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye oil and gas condensate field (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous territory), atmospheric fallout of heavy and semi-metals was assessed. Peat deposits were sampled in the areas with varying degrees of technogenic load. It was revealed that the samples contained forty microelements. High ash content of the samples was also revealed, which indicates an increased dust load in the surveyed region. Despite this fact, no significant differences were found in the content of trace elements between sites with different degrees of load. It was revealed that the prior element-contaminator in this deposit is molybdenum (Mo). Due to the fact that the average values of the enrichment coefficient (EC) for all trace elements (with the exception of Mo) do not exceed 10, it can be assumed that the geochemical situation at the Vostochno-Messoyakhskoye field is formed at the expense of natural sources of dust aerosols.
