Annotation:

As part of a joint research project of the Polytechnic Institute of FEFU, National University of Oil and Gas ("Gubkin University") and industrial enterprises operating at the seashore of Nakhodka Bay, researches of the bay bottom sediments were carried out in 2018–2021 to determine the man-made impact of the coastal activity objects on the level of anthropogenic load. The new data were obtained on the main pollutants concentrations in the bottom sediments: petroleum hydrocarbons (PH), chlorine-organic pesticides, heavy metals – HM (Cd, Hg, Zn, Ni, Cr, Pb, Cu, Fe, Mn). There is a tendency to gradually increase the pollutants content in comparison with the earlier data. It is noted that a high content of petroleum products in bottom sediments in the immediate water area of the Nakhodka port. The obtained data on marine sediments physical-chemical parameters indicate the dysfunctional state of the studied water area as a whole. The content of heavy metals varies over wide ranges and the values of their increased concentrations are not always determined by proximity to the source of pollution, which indicates chronic pollution and distribution in bottom sediments according to water circulation and other natural conditions.
