Annotation:

On the basis of leading research in the field of ecology, the article discusses the problems of selection of environment reliable biological indicators in the area of possible technogenic impact of underground gas storage (UGS) in the Stavropol Territory. For complex landscape monitoring as additional biological indicators to those ones previously used (phyto-indicators of soil toxicity, chemical indicators of heavy metals content in comparison with maximum permissible concentration (MPC)) the author of the article proposes to add soil invertebrates that clearly react to the pH of the environment and the concentration of pollutants.
