Substantiation of the need to update the fugitive emissions calculation methodology considering non-stationary sources of emissions

Annotation:

The statistical data on methane emissions, potential sources of fugitive emissions are reviewed and foreign and Russian methodologies of their calculation fugitive emissions are comparatively analyzed. Fugitive emissions of an onshore gas production facility are calculated, showing the difference in the amount of fugitive emissions through stationary and non-stationary emissions sources. Existing approaches to fugitive emissions calculation at oil and gas facilities of the oil and gas complex are studied and the areas of the approaches application and, therefore, their sufficiency are analyzed.
