Annotation:

Control-distribution points (CDP) are the cause of high-intensity noise occurrence, which negatively affects the environment and residential areas. The main source of the noise generation is the gas reduction unit the noise level of which depends on its performance and arrangement. When studying control-distribution points (CDP) of various performance and arrangement, location of the gas reduction unit was considered as a model of a point noise source. In-situ noise measurements were analyzed, types of sound energy emission and acoustic characteristics of noise sources were determined. Sound dispersion zones were calculated and analyzed with respect to the distance from the noise source depending on the type of control-distribution points. Depending on the type of sound energy emission, means of noise reduction on the environment and residential territories were proposed. The parameters of the proposed noise reduction means are calculated.
