Annotation:

Pollution of the hydrosphere by oil products remains an urgent problem of the modern world. The Black Sea and the Sea of Azov are ones of the most ecologically unfavorable water areas, representing semi-enclosed reservoirs with a densely populated coastline. The hydraulic-physical features of these water reservoirs aggravate this situation. A number of large oil transshipment bases operate on the coast of these seas, in particular: Novorossiysk, Tuapse, Zhelezny Rog. A significant number of discharges occur near the major ports of Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine, as well as in the places of oil terminals operation. Our previous works showed that the levels of seawater oil pollution have been for several years within the maximal permissible concentrations (MPC) for fishery reservoirs in the narrow shallow zone of the Crimea, In this regard, it is of interest to study the content of oil hydrocarbons (OH) in seawater in the areas located further from the coast, in particular within the twelve-mile zone of Russian territorial waters. It is caused by the intensive shipping traffic in the zone as well as possibility of oil products transfer into the sea water from other sources.
