Annotation:

The development of new oil and gas fields requires construction of main pipelines in the permafrost regions. The main pipelines design and construction in such conditions requires development of new design and technological solutions since there appears the necessity of providing the required soil temperature mode for the pipeline bottom or stabilization of the designed position of the pipeline in case of the melting soil settlement. The analysis of the existing practice proves the fact that the process of technogenic elements "implantation" into the natural environment directly affects the temperature mode of permafrost soils and can lead to emergency situations. The article considers the techniques of reducing the negative impacts on the environment when constructing main pipelines in permafrost soils applying various laying methods. The main factors complicating the construction are considered, as well as a set of technical solutions and devices that allow minimizing the impact of the pipeline technogenic environment on the natural environment of the soil and avoiding emergency situations.
