Annotation:

The article substantiates the relevance of modernizing the waste management systems for drilling hydrocarbon wells with a polycomponent composition from the standpoint of improving the environmental safety of territories when developing and operating oil and gas fields. The existing drilling waste management systems are analyzed and the classification of drilling waste storage tanks is presented. Recommendations are presented on the choice of an organizational-technological scheme for handling drilling waste and measures to reduce the negative impact on the components of the natural environment during their accumulation and disposal, the requirements for the construction of temporary storage and sludge pits are listed as well as the conditions for classifying the drilling waste management system as a pitless method of drilling.
