Annotation:

The article considers using carbon-containing material as petroleum sorbent, obtained by thermal modification at the temperature of 450 ºС of vegetable oil production’s waste kieselguhr sludge (TKS450), which is characterized by mesoporous structure, high hydrophobic property of the surface and the presence of oxygen-containing functional groups on the carbon layer surface. The research results of purifying model wastewaters from emulsified petroleum products in static and dynamic conditions with the use of the designed sorbent are presented.
