Annotation:

Non-productive water injection is one of the most basic problems of most subsoil using operators, which not only causes complications when developing fields, but also leads to a threat of formation water pollution. Non-productive water injection occurs when water is injected into the injection wells to maintain formation pressure, which can provide an oil recovery increase. However, the fluid injected into the formation with too high pressure can lead to spontaneous occurrence of hydraulic fractures, through which the injected water can flow into the overlying and underlying reservoirs. At present, the development of methods and technologies for researching, analyzing and monitoring the non-productive injection, as well as techniques of timely prevention of non-stable fractures development. The authors of the article consider the temperature logging method as the basic one for hydraulic fractures diagnosing that occur during the injection with excessively high pressure.
