Annotation:

Sludge pits are sources of environmental pollution. The study of the impact of drilling waste placed in sludge pits on the components of the natural environment is a part of geo-ecological monitoring. The purpose of the research is geo-ecological analysis of the soil cover in the zone of the sludge pit influence at the deposit. Based on the results of the research of the studied samples, it was revealed that the soil did not meet the established quality standards for such indicators as cobalt and arsenic. The results of studies, carried out in different years, showed a significant increase of the indicators level in comparison with the background data. An increase of heavy metals gross content makes it possible to state the fact of the technogenic impact on the sludge pit soils. The total indicator of soil pollution in relation to quality standards was acceptable. According to the content of chemicals in the soil, an acceptable and low level of pollution was observed.
