Reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions from tube furnaces of oil refineries by using heat removal from the combustion zone

Annotation:

The article substantiates the use of heat removal from the combustion zone in order to reduce the release of toxic nitrogen oxides during fuel combustion in oil refinery furnaces. It is noted that the toxicity of combustion products of gaseous fuel in case of its complete combustion is mainly determined by the content of the most dangerous nitrogen oxides in them. The characteristic of the intensification of heat removal from the flare as an effective method for reducing emissions of nitrogen oxides is given. The ecological advantages of the effectiveness of using separation of the combustion chamber by double-sided irradiation screens and increasing the screening of cylindrical tube furnaces are shown. New designs of devices for burning fuel oil in furnace units applying the method of heat removal from the combustion zone, protected by utility model patents, have been developed and recommended. For the practical use of heat removal from the flare in the combustion chamber, it is proposed to additionally install a water tubular coil in order to reduce nitrogen oxides emissions.
