Annotation:

The article considers the nature of diesel engines impact on the environment. The main tasks for reducing the amount of harmful substances emissions into the environment are identified. Organizational and operational solutions to improve the environmental friendliness of diesel fuels use, taking into account the data on the composition, toxicity and degree of environmental impact of the exhaust gases components formed during the diesel fuel combustion are presented. The effectiveness of using various types of converters and particulate filters for diesel engines was analyzed. The ways of reducing the negative diesel fuel impact on the environment, including the use of fuels with special additives, are described. A classification of specialized devices and systems that increase the environmental friendliness of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines is given.
