Annotation:

Based on a review of the work performed earlier, the article substantiates the relevance of the topic of ensuring industrial safety by reducing the number of incoming alarms to the automated workplace of the operator of the "Prirazlomnaya" platform. The article also provides a brief historical overview of such systems appearance. The author lists the main international standards that guide the world's leading oil and gas companies when creating alarm control systems at hazardous production facilities. In addition, the author made a comparison of foreign and Russian experience in alarm management at enterprises, he highlighted the standards, taking into account which the SMUS project was developed at the "Prirazlomnaya" offshore ice-resistant stationary platform (OI-RSP) as well as demonstrated the positive effect of the project.
