Annotation:

The construction of wells has a point-by-point and short-term impact on the environment. Production wells are not single sources of technogenesis. They are built and operate as part of the natural-technical system for the production of hydrocarbons, are elements of this system and their impact on the environment is manifested in conjunction with its other parts. As a rule, the negative consequences of technogenesis occur after a fairly long time, and it is difficult to determine their causal relationship directly with the construction of wells. In this regard, it is important to focus on identifying future environmental risks at the stage of wells construction design. Environmental legislation often contains contradictory requirements in relation to the object of legal regulation. This is mainly due to flaws or ignorance of environmental safety methodology. It is shown that in relation to wells, such a methodological basis is the analysis of their operational life cycle, which allows logically verified identification of the real sources of technogenesis at all its stages.
