Annotation:

Currently, the amount of tire waste (TW) is increasing at an alarming pace all over the world. Only a minority of this waste is recycled. It is revealed that the majority of the TW wastes decomposition products end up in soil, marine ecosystems and air. However, at present, there are no indications of decomposition products in the environment. The level of harmful substances toxicity from TW has not yet been established. Moreover, the physicochemical properties and biological effects of many substances constituting TW composition have yet been thoroughly studied. The main toxic components of environmental body chemical pollution have now been identified. It is recommended to study the characteristics and behavior of toxic substances as well as their migration routes in environmental systems, including the use of computer modeling techniques. It will not only improve understanding of these substances behavior in the environment, but will also allow the development of suitable, modern, and cost-effective methods for TW processing.
