Annotation:

The following objects of observation during aerospace monitoring of river waters are considered: water crossings of oil and gas pipelines, tailings dumps, oil depots, fuel and lubricant warehouses and oil and gas terminals. It is their location in the coastal zone of rivers that significantly increases the risk of emergency situations associated with flooding and oil spills. The authors of the article present the results of the development of methods for forecasting and assessing the state of river waters in case of emergencies of natural and technogenic origin. The results were obtained during space and air monitoring observations based on geographic modeling and interpretation technologies. Examples of practical testing of building geographic information models of coastal territories are given as well as the results of visual and automatic interpretation of emergency situations images that took place in the waters of Russian rivers and Lake Maracaibo (Venezuela).
