Annotation:
The technology of creating artificial geochemical barriers has significant potential in solving one of the actual environmental problems of geospheres – effective geological environment protection from technogenic pollution. The authors of the article consider the possibility of using artificial barriers for geological environment protection from the aftereffects of oil pollution as a result of an accidental oil spill on the land surface. The authors of the article put forward a reasonable assumption about the expediency of using complex (combined) geochemical barriers, which allows achieving the best results. It is noted that the effectiveness of geochemical barriers will depend on many factors, such as the type of pollutant, local conditions, composition and properties of rocks, etc. Therefore, only after careful study of the pollutant characteristics, taking into account the geological and geochemical characteristics of the geological environment material elements, it becomes possible to achieve effective purification and rehabilitation of the geological environment.
