Ensuring safety based on accidents analysis during a pyrolysis plant operation

Annotation:

The authors of the article discuss emergency situations and explosive elements in pyrolysis plants used for recycling worn tires. The pyrolysis process is the thermal decomposition of materials without oxygen access, which makes it possible to efficiently recycle tires, reducing the environmental burden and providing secondary raw materials. However, such plants are associated with high risks, including fires, explosions and toxic gases release. The analysis of accidents conducted during the study shows that their main causes are improper waste management, equipment malfunctions and violations of technological processes. Based on the analysis, measures are proposed to improve safety and reduce risks at pyrolysis plants, including improving ventilation systems, gas control and staff training.
