The ecological efficiency increase achieved by flue gases partial recycling when injecting steam to the combustion zone

Annotation:

The authors of the article substantiate the feasibility of using the method of flue gases partial recycling into the tubular furnaces burner of oil refineries in order to reduce nitrogen oxides emissions being the most dangerous harmful substances formed during the combustion of liquid and gaseous fuels. The environmental and technical advantages and disadvantages of this method and specific features of its application are shown. It is shown that when combustion products are supplied to the furnace in the volume of more than 20 %, there appear products of fuel chemical incomplete burning: hydrocarbons, soot particles and carbonic oxide. To prevent their formation, the authors recommend supplying steam to the combustion zone. The author's innovative devices, confirmed by patents for utility models, have been developed for the environmentally friendly combustion of liquid fuel in furnaces by supplying steam through a pipe.
